SunRun

SunRun Saaremaa 2026 is a team running adventure set amid Saaremaa’s beautiful natural scenery. The race starts at sunrise in Kuressaare and finishes at sunset at Illiku laid in Orissaare, covering a total of 180 km. All groups, circles of friends and sports clubs can take part by forming a team and sharing the distance among themselves. The aim is not to win, but to enjoy running together with friends at a comfortable pace. Each participant receives a GPS wristband that serves as a relay baton, and there are refreshment and water stations along the route.

The race starts on 6 June at 4:30 in front of the Wow Centre in Kuressaare. Each team receives a GPS wristband, which must be handed to the next runner at points of their choosing. There are water stations along the route, as well as hot soup, tea and bread along the way, and shower facilities at the finish. The finish is at Illiku laid, where a summer starting-party takes place. Changing runners along the route is prohibited. Support vehicles must comply with Estonian traffic regulations. The route includes Saaremaa’s landscapes and coastal roads; registration requires the use of a GPS device and the race kit. The event takes place on 6 June 2026, starting in Kuressaare at 4:30.
